How MSRX WeatherWatch sources its data, keeps AI grounded, and protects your privacy.
Is MSRX WeatherWatch free?
Yes. It is completely free, with no account, no login, and no subscription. It works in a private or incognito window.
Where does the weather and hazard data come from?
From authoritative public providers: Open-Meteo (weather, forecast, air quality, UV), the USGS Earthquake Hazards Program, GDACS (global disaster alerts), NASA FIRMS (active fires), and RainViewer (precipitation radar).
Does the AI make up weather or disaster information?
No. The AI only summarizes, explains, compares, and translates the verified data already shown on the page, and it cites its sources. It never invents weather values, coordinates, or hazard severity.
How is hazard severity decided?
Each severity rating is computed from published numeric thresholds applied to verified provider data — not by the AI. Computed values such as day length, golden hour, dew point, and moon phase are labeled as computed.
Do you collect my data or track me?
No. There is no login and no server-side tracking. Favorites, recent locations, and unit preferences are stored only in your browser's local storage and never sent to us.
Does it work offline?
The app installs as a Progressive Web App and its shell loads offline. Your last-loaded weather is restored from your browser cache and revalidated when you reconnect. Live data always requires a connection.
How many languages does it support?
The interface and AI briefings are available in 17 languages, including English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Urdu, Nepali, Chinese, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Russian.
What areas are covered?
Any location on Earth. Search for a place or use your current location to see live conditions, a 7-day and hourly forecast, and a multi-hazard scan.
