Why our AI never invents weather

Large language models are good at explaining and summarizing, and bad at being a source of truth for numbers. MSRX WeatherWatch is designed around that reality.

The AI only sees verified data

When you ask the assistant a question or request a briefing, it is given the same verified weather and hazard data shown on the page, plus the list of sources. Its job is to summarize, explain, compare, translate, and advise on that data — not to produce new facts.

It never invents weather values, coordinates, or hazard severity. When it is uncertain or the data is incomplete, it says so, and every response can surface its data sources, model, and confidence.

Computed values are labeled

Some useful values are derived from verified inputs rather than measured directly — day length, golden hour, dew point, moon phase. These are always labeled as computed so you know the difference between a measurement and a calculation.
