Weather Overview

Current conditions at a glance

What is it?

The weather engine condenses current temperature, wind, humidity, pressure and sky conditions into one summary and flags when any component turns hazardous.

How we measure it

Live conditions from Open-Meteo: 2 m temperature, apparent temperature, 10 m wind and gusts, humidity, sea-level pressure, cloud cover and precipitation.

What the summary watches

  • TemperatureComfortHeat/cold stress thresholds feed the heatwave & coldwave engines
  • Wind & gustsSafetyDamaging-wind thresholds feed the storm engine
  • Humidity + heatFeels-likeHigh humidity blocks sweating — apparent temperature rises
  • Pressure trendChangeFalling pressure often precedes unsettled weather

Within safe range

Typical readings mean ordinary planning: dress for the feels-like temperature, not the headline number.

Beyond the range

When any component crosses its hazard threshold, the dedicated engine (heatwave, coldwave, storm…) raises its own severity — check the tile that turned coloured for specifics.

Precautions

  • Use feels-like temperature for clothing and exertion decisions.
  • Recheck before long outdoor plans — conditions here update continuously.
  • Pair with the hourly chart above to time the day well.
